The percentage of population receiving COVID-19 Vaccine is calculated by the number of individuals receiving the vaccine divided by the population estimate for that age group living in Summit County. In the table above, we present vaccination estimates using two population estimates. The first is the census estimate provided to us by the Utah Department of Health. The second is this census estimate increased by three percent. The intent of adding three percent is to more accurately estimate the population including persons living in Summit County who may not be represented in traditional census estimates.
As of July 14, 2021, a total of 31,959 first dose vaccines have been administered to persons living in Summit County. These doses include those provided by the Summit County Health Department and outside partners, including Intermountain Park City Hospital and others.
As of July 14, 2021, a total of 25,463 second dose vaccines have been administered to persons living in Summit County.
As of July 14, 2021, a total of 2,987 single dose vaccines (Johnson and Johnson) have been administered to persons living in Summit County. The Advisory Committee on Vaccine Practices (ACIP) has resumed the administration of the single dose vaccines.
The Summit County Health Department is now offering vaccines at their department offices located in Park City, Coalville and Kamas. Vaccines are also available at most local pharmacies and at Wasatch Pediatrics, located at 750 Round Valley Dr #102, Park City, UT.

Vaccination still remains the most effective way to protect yourself from COVID-19. Vaccinations significantly reduce the likelihood of getting the disease. There are rare cases where a fully vaccinated (completed the vaccination course at least 14 days prior) person test positive for COVID-19. In Summit County there have been 35 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 that have verified a complete vaccination for COVID. The overall percent of people fully vaccinated living in Summit County that get a positive lab result is 0.1% (35 vaccine breakthrough cases /28,308 fully vaccinated persons)
