The percentage of population receiving COVID-19 Vaccine is calculated by the number of individuals receiving the vaccine divided by the population estimate for that age group living in Summit County. In the table above, we present vaccination estimates using two population estimates. The first is the census estimate provided to us by the Utah Department of Health. The second is this census estimate increased by three percent. The intent of adding three percent is to more accurately estimate the population including persons living in Summit County who may not be represented in traditional census estimates.
As of June 22, 2021, a total of 31,553 first dose vaccines have been administered to persons living in Summit County. These doses include those provided by the Summit County Health Department and outside partners, including Intermountain Park City Hospital and others.
As of June 22, 2021, a total of 24,158 second dose vaccines have been administered to persons living in Summit County.
As of June 22, 2021, a total of 2,848 single dose vaccines (Johnson and Johnson) have been administered to persons living in Summit County. The Advisory Committee on Vaccine Practices (ACIP) has resumed the administration of the single dose vaccines.
The Summit County Health Department is now offering vaccines at their department offices located in Park City, Coalville and Kamas. The Emergency Use Authorization for Pfizer vaccines was modified to include ages 12 through 15-years-old.
As of June 22, 2021 vaccine messaging documents will move from bi-weekly to monthly publications. The next document will be published on July 21, 2021.
